Geoparks has been the key to increasing the local economy system. Through the concept of geopark, it is an absolute necessity that we as young people has to take a responsibility in accordance with collaborating local communities. The world is built with more than 70% of water, and through that potential, we have to understand that water is the central way to sustain local people. 

Through solid collaboration, the Indonesian Geopark Youth Forum with Belitong Geopark Youth Community created this event , the UNESCO Global Geoparks Youth Marine Camp, where we invite all of young people in the world to gather and discuss about marine, islands, and their influence to the economic development in regions. In specific, how blue economy can be the center of excellence.
